What it does
Taskmaster is a task manager built for AI-assisted programming. It turns a project plan into tasks, tracks which tasks depend on others, and helps an AI coding assistant pick the next job.
It plugs into tools such as Cursor, Claude Code and Windsurf. You need your own key from an AI provider, and you can choose separate models for planning and research.
Who it's for
Programmers who use AI coding tools on larger projects.
Can I use it without coding?
Developers only. Added to an AI coding tool with a command, and needs API keys. New to this? Start here.
