What it does
Silero Models provides pre-trained text-to-speech models, which turn written text into spoken audio. Its makers say the voices sound natural and that the models run fast even without a graphics card.
There is a large library of voices covering Russian and many other languages from the former Soviet region, Turkic and Caucasian languages, Indian languages and more. For Russian it adds word stress automatically.
Models download automatically when first used, and can be used through Python.
Who it's for
Developers and researchers who need text-to-speech, especially for languages less covered by other tools.
