What it does
Jaaz is a design app where you create images and videos by chatting with an AI agent or sketching on an endless canvas. Its makers call it an open-source alternative to Canva that puts privacy first.
From one prompt it can produce pictures or short videos using models like GPT-4o, Midjourney, Veo 3 and Kling. You can also draw arrows and rough shapes to show what you want, plan scenes as storyboards, and keep characters consistent.
It can run local models through ComfyUI and Ollama, or use cloud models after logging in to a low-cost paid plan. There is a paid enterprise edition for companies.
Who it's for
Content creators, marketers and designers who want an AI-powered creative canvas on their own computer.
