What it does
This NVIDIA research project quickly trains small neural networks to represent images and 3D scenes. Its best-known use is NeRF: give it photos of a place or object from different angles, and it builds a 3D scene you can move through.
It comes with an interactive app that includes a VR mode, a camera-path editor for making videos, and tools to turn scenes into 3D models.
It is the code for a research paper presented at SIGGRAPH in 2022.
Who it's for
3D artists, researchers and hobbyists with an NVIDIA graphics card who want to try photo-to-3D.
Can I use it without coding?
With some setup. Windows users can download a ready-made app for their NVIDIA card; Linux and other setups require building it. New to this? Start here.
