What it does
FunRec is an online textbook, written in Chinese, about recommendation systems: the software that decides which videos, products or posts to show each person.
The first half covers the classic approach, such as finding similar users and items and ranking results. The second half covers newer methods that use large AI models and other generative techniques.
It ends with a chapter on building a full production system. It is made by Datawhale, an AI learning community, and the README says it is still being written.
Who it's for
Chinese-speaking students and engineers learning how recommendation algorithms work.
